Steffans Legal Files Wage and Hour Class Action on Behalf of Bluemercury Retail Employees

On September 17, 2021, Steffans Legal filed a wage-and-hour class action in Middlesex County Superior Court against Bluemercury, Inc. regarding failure to pay premiums for hours worked on Sundays and certain holidays. According to Massachusetts law, certain employers (including many retail employers) are required to pay employees premiums for hours worked on Sundays and certain holidays. M.G.L. ch.136 §§ 6, 13.
